My thoughts:
I was excited to read this because it sounds like it's going to be an entertaining read, but for me, it missed the mark; probably because I had no idea there were previous Anjasa stories that told all about her background. Throughout this book there were times that mentioned her past and the experiences she lived through, but since I hadn't read them, I felt a disconnect to this installment.

Maybe in the previous books Anjasa was a kick-ass assassin, but in this book I saw none of that come into play. I would think that if one were an assassin, they wouldn't have a problem taking someone out permanently, especially someone they've known for a day and have no loyalty to, yet that wasn't the case in this book. There was plenty of sex (which I don't have a problem with), but I wasn't that impressed with the fact that this story appears to take place over a 2-3 day time period and yet Anjasa managed to get it in with 3 different men in that little bit of time.

The overall story wasn't hard to follow, but again, if you haven't read the earlier Anjasa stories, the references to her past won't really be clear.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
